Forget about conventional ice cream, this homemade version is so easy to make and you will definitely be craving it again. You can make it any flavor you want; all you need is a frozen bag of fruits or berries of your choice. For this particular recipe, I chose to use mango… the flavor turned out really great! I always wanted to try making my own ice cream, but never actually bought an ice crream maker. But after making this version, you will find out that you really don’t need one. All you need is a food processor, and most of us have that already. This is also a good way to add turmeric to your diet. Don’t worry if you do not like the taste of it, the mango flavor will absorb the smell and flavor of the turmeric. If you haven’t started consuming turmeric, I highly encourage you to do so. Turmeric has been proven to fight inflammation and reduce pain.
Cellular inflammation is a common day epidemic that is the fundamental cause of degenerative disease in our society. It is the source of most diseases. Turmeric is one of the most powerful known anti-inflammatory herbs. It helps treat arthritis, gout and other autoimmune diseases. It may also be used to relieve headaches, muscular aches, pain and joint problems. According to several peer-reviewed studies, turmeric works the same as, or even better than, at least 14 pharmaceutical drugs currently on the market. Turmeric is also the 4th highest anti-oxidant rich herb in the world. These anti-oxidants fight free radicals that are linked to premature aging. A study performed on roundworms, found that small amounts of curcumin, the primary active ingredient in turmeric, increased average lifespan by about 39 percent.
