  1. I have been drinking lemon in water first thing every morning for the last couple months. I am excited about all the health benefits. I have also been adding coconut oil to my cup of coffee that I begin sipping as soon as I am done with my lemon water. I have a couple questions. Should I be waiting a period of time before drinking my coffee after the lemon water? And also, I would like to incorporate ACV and local honey in my daily routine. I have seen several sites that suggest adding it to the warm lemon water in the am but I’m not sure that overloading my system with so many things might affect the potency of the ingredients? Any help you can provide would be appreciated. Blessings!

    • Hi Beth! It’s recommended to wait 30 minutes before you start drinking coffee or eating food. I would take ACV with honey separately. You can add one teaspoon of apple cider vinegar to one glass of water and sip with each meal.

  2. I know fresh lemon would be best, but would using ReaLemon lemon juice be an adequate substitute for fresh lemons?

  3. I sppke to an older lady who has been doing this for many many years now her dentist has told her, she had enamel damage to her teeth so please watch out everything in moderation

    • Always rinse after with water with a little baking soda. I keep a bottle with the mixture on my bathroom sink. This rinse breaks the acid in the mouth. It amazes me that Dentists don’t say this. Thankfully mine did.

    • Hi Barb! Lemon juice from concentrate lacks the nutritional value of fresh squeezed lemon juice. It has to do with the heating during the extraction process.

  4. I would like to get my husband to drink this, too, but he only drinks lime in his water. Do limes give the same health benefits?

    • Hi Debbie! You can use limes instead of lemons. Limes have an alkalizing effect in the body as well.

  5. HI! where I live lime is abundant but lemon is not very common, do they have the same effect or should I try to find lemon? thank you!
