4 Amazing Home Remedies For Lower Back and Joint Pain

Cayenne pepper

Cayenne pepper makes is a very effective topical ointment for joint and lower back pain.  Cayenne stimulates blood flow, increases the action of mucous membranes and helps with muscle aches. Cayenne pepper contains capsaicin, which distracts the brain from the true source of pain.  Cayenne is also one of the most effective herbs at reducing pain caused by inflammation. To make this home remedy, mix 2 tablespoons of cayenne pepper with 1/2 cup of coconut oil. Apply directly to the problem area.

Garlic

 Garlic is a natural pain reliever. According to the Central Council for Research in Ayurveda and Siddha (CCRAS), five grams (one teaspoon) of garlic paste with honey or with food twice a day is useful for people experiencing pain in their joints. This recipe is very effective at reducing back pain. A sulfur compound in garlic – tiakremonon – helps to suppress inflammation in the joints.
Eat a few garlic cloves fried in clarified butter as a preventative measure. You can also make garlic oil which is a gre
at natural remedy for pain.

What you will need:

  • 5 bulbs of fresh garlic
  • 3 cups of extra virgin olive oil

Directions:

  • Crush cloves of garlic
  • Cover cloves with olive oil
  • Let this stand for about 3 days, shaking daily. Don’t leave the garlic in the oil much longer than this.
  • Strain the garlic from the oil
  • Store oil in a glass jar in the refrigerator.

Apply a generous amount of garlic oil to the parts of your back that are sore. Massage the garlic into your skin. This home remedy will definitely help you to eliminate joint and back pain.

Duration of treatment: 2 months

Cramp Bark

 Cramp Bark (here)  is also a very effective muscle relaxation tea for back pain.  Simply add 1 teaspoon of cramp bark to 1 cup of boiling water. Steep for 10 minutes and drink.  Drink 3 times a day. 

Nettle leaf

 Nettle lead (here) has been used for centuries to reduce inflammation and help with pain. It is loaded with boron, silicon and other minerals that help treat joint pain.  You can drink nettle leaf tea or apply the fresh leaves directly to aching joints. To make tea, combine 2 to 3 teaspoons dried leaf with 1 cup hot water and allow to steep 10 to 15 minutes. Drink 1 cup of this tea three times per day.

I have tried many of these remedies myself for lower back pain – most  were very effective.

  1. For many years I suffered from intense back pain which sometimes could not move. I practiced judo for more than 15 years of my life and at the end, back pain took me to all kinds of physical activity.   3. Oh man, I really need those now, since recently my back started to hurt like hell. 🙁 If it doesn’t get any better, I’m definitely going to visit the doctor, but I would be glad if I could avoid that. So first, I’m going to try out these tips, I hope they will work. Thanks for the post!
